POWERHOUSE ARENA HOSTED CULTURAL EVENTS:
  • JOE BOYD BOOK SIGNING (JUNE 13)

White Bicycles: Making Music in the 1960s, the memoir of legendary music producer Joe Boyd (Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Fairport Convention, The Incredible String Band, Nick Drake), was the surprise hit in non-fiction publishing in Britain last year. Joe is back by popular demand and will be reading, raconteuring, and answering questions at this event.

Brian Eno says White Bicycles “is the best book about music I've read in years.” Rolling Stone says, “White Bicycles is a deliciously detailed memoir of Boyd’s part in the euphoria…the heart of White Bicycles is Boyd’s colorful recall of the labor and love that went into enduring albums…” The book is a fun read, full of juicy insider stories about Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Sonny Terry, Maria Muldaur, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul & Mary, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck….and more.
