Join us for a reading, signing, and hands-on arts and crafts event with Robert Weinstock and Gilbert Ford. Brightly illustrated and whimsical, Weinstock's Can You Dig It? will delight dinosaur lovers of all ages. In Ford's Flying Lessons, a tight bunch of pigeons thinks the newest member of their flock is for the birds until he teaches them a new way to fly. Ages 2–7.

About Can You Dig It?
Excerpt:
Your granny's teeth; your dad's toupèe;
Your lunch might be unearthed one day
Three hundred million years from now
And folks will gasp and wonder how
It was we all managed to live
When life was so darned primitive.

About Flying Lessons:
The pigeons are a tight bunch. They flock together, nest together, and sing together. In the winter they travel south, in the spring they return north. This is the way it has always been and the birds see no reason for things to change. Then one day a new bird flies on the scene. Suddenly their comforting routine is completely disrupted. In order to adjust to the change, the pigeons must learn a new way to fly...

About Robert Weinstock:
is a graphic designer, former children's book editor, and creator of Giant Meatball and Food Hates You, Too. He lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.

About Gilbert Ford:
Gilbert Ford's work has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and The Progressive. He also created the jacket for The Name of this Book is Secret. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
