Join us for an afternoon of stories about friendship. Ame Dyckman and
Dan Yaccarino share Boy + Bot, a story about a boy and a robot who
befriend one another.
Diane Kredensor reads from Ollie & Moon: Fuhgeddaboudit!, a tale of the
globetrotting feline friends' adventures through the Big Apple.
About Boy + Bot:
One day, a boy and a robot meet in the woods. They play. They have fun.
But when Bot gets switched off, Boy thinks he's sick. The usual remedies -
applesauce, reading a story - don't help, so Boy tucks the sick Bot in, then falls
asleep.
Bot is worried when he powers on and finds his friend powered off. He takes
Boy home with him and tries all his remedies: oil, reading an instruction manual.
Nothing revives the malfunctioning Boy! Can the Inventor help fix him?
Using the perfect blend of sweetness and humor, this story of an adorable duo
will win the hearts of the very youngest readers.

Ame Dyckman writes picture books, hula hoops, and puts coins in people's
parking meters. She lives in New Jersey with her family and pets: black cats,
hermit crabs, fish, and a demanding-but-adorable squirrel named Willie. You can

Dan Yaccarino is an internationally acclaimed author-illustrator with more than
30 books to his credit. Dan is also the creator of the animated TV series Oswald.
He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
About Ollie & Moon: Fuhgeddaboudit!
Moon loves to make her best friend, Ollie, laugh. On this particular day, however,
her favorite gags aren't doing the trick! The two make a bet on whether or not
Moon's crazy antics will be enough to bring back Ollie's usual ha ha's, hee
hee's, and ho ho's. Silliness ensues in the form of a playful day in New York City
involving wacky dancing, funny lips sounds, and even a troupe of chicken mimes!
Photographic backdrops set the scene for this wonderfully absurd adventure. Will
Moon make Ollie laugh before the last page? Fuhgeddaboudit! One thing is for
sure - delighted readers will be giggling every step of the way!

Diane Kredensor's grown-up years have been spent pursuing a successful
career in animation. She still hasn't grown up all the way, for which she's

Brain, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and WordWorld, to name a few. This is her
second children's book with Random House. Diane happily lives in Brooklyn,
New York, with two cats who bear a passing resemblance to Ollie and Moon.
