Brooklyn-based artist and designer Jacqueline Schmidt, founder of Screech Owl Design, presents a selection of original watercolor and graphite pieces, as well as limited edition prints.

About the Artist:

Artist and designer Jacqueline Schmidt seamlessly blends the urban and natural worlds in all she creates. This ability was first shaped by childhood migrations between New York City, where she was born and raised, and her Catskills summer home. Later in life, after receiving a B.A. in visual arts and modern dance and an M.A. in creative arts therapy, Jacqueline felt inspired to share her unique artistic sense with wider audiences. This took form in 2007, when she founded Screech Owl Design, a stationary and lifestyle product company. Her work with Screech Owl, as well as with independent clients, has made Jacqueline a recognized expert in multiple types of design such as textiles, interiors, web, graphic, toys, and many others. In addition to her commercial design work, Jacqueline's paintings and illustrations have been featured in galleries throughout the U.S. When not designing, making art, or enjoying nature, Schmidt spends time at home in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her two cats, Pinky and Mister.
