Diner Journal, a food-inspired quarterly brought to you by the folks behind the Brooklyn restaurants Roman's, Diner, and Marlow & Sons, celebrates the launch of its new issue with readings, drinks, and snacks.

About Diner Journal:

Diner Journal is a quarterly magazine with original art, lit, and recipes, published by Brooklyn restaurateur Andrew Tarlow of Diner, Marlow & Sons, Roman's, and butcher shop Marlow & Daughters. The journal is produced by a group of people from our restaurant community. Always ad-free, always three hole-punched, Diner Journal has published seasonal recipes, weird confessions, thoughtful correspondence, and essays from the kitchen since 2006.

We are celebrating the release of Issue 18: Communities, Communes and Cults, at The powerHouse Arena with readings, videos, and complimentary beer and snacks. Danielle Pattavina and Anna Dunn will be reading works from Issue 18.

This issue's contributors include cover artist Dan Funderburgh, Kelly Rakowski, Naz Shahin, and R. Kikuo Johnson.
