About the Author.
Dan Rimada is the founder of Bodega Cats of New York and author of the book of the same name. Since starting the project in 2022, he has documented the working cats of neighborhood stores across New York City’s five boroughs. His book tells their stories, with photographs by Gulce Kilkis.
