How does one do polyamory right?! What does “right” even mean? What happens when we move this pressure to be the “perfect poly person” when we all have fears, jealousy, and compulsory monogamy and heteronormativity to unlearn. How do queer and trans people construct joy under systems designed to limit us? What about the mess, the joy, the fears, the compersion, the laughs, the group chats, the expansive love?! Let’s be BAD together.
Whether it’s your first time reading into a mic, of your tenth – all are welcome. Sign up to read here. We can’t wait to laugh/scream/cry with you. Read from your journal, notes app, manuscript, published book, favourite poem etc. All forms of literature are welcome, as well as music, performance, or other creative arts. (If you’re unsure if your piece is a fit, DM @badpoly___ with your idea and we will do our best to accommodate!)
Bad Poly is a regular reading series that happens quarterly. Follow @BadPoly___ for more!
So bring a pal, partner(s), polycule, and we’ll see you there for the inaugural BAD POLY open mic & fundraiser!
