About the Author.
Arash Azizi is an Iranian scholar and a writer at Liberties Journal of culture and politics and a contributing writer to the Atlantic. His writings on cinema, politics and history have also appeared in other publications such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post. His most recent book, “What Iranians Want: Women, Life, Freedom” was published in 2024.
