About the Book.
Deep Listening is a powerful and proven approach to establish a relationship of trust and an authentic understanding of people from different perspectives, whether in your family, your work or in your community.
In this workshop you’ll learn out outline of Emily’s eight step Deep Listening approach so you can better engage with partners, kids, parents and colleagues especially when you disagree. This workshop will empower you to engage across divides of perspective or power. There will a live demonstration and an opportunity for everyone to be Deeply Listened to while also having the chance to practice Deep Listening. About the Author.
Emily Kasriel is a media executive, journalist, accredited executive coach and workplace mediator. She has developed the Deep Listening approach as a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College Policy Institute in London. She has honed it through training more than 1000 people from over 100 countries, and in some of the world’s conflict zones, encouraging people divided by religion, politics or other barriers to develop an understanding of the other side. Kasriel has had an award-winning career of over 20 years at the BBC. reporting and producing across five continents, as well as running the arts, religion and ideas departments. She was previously a Visiting Fellow at the Said Business School in Oxford and a Senior Advisor to the Skoll Foundation. A graduate of the University of Oxford and Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, she lives in London.
