About the Event.

Princeton University alumnae novelists Joanne Ramos ‘95 and Rachel Lyon ‘05 will talk about their writing careers and read excerpts from their recently released work, in in partnership with the Princeton University Arts at Work Program.

 

About The Authors.

(’05) is the author of Self-Portrait with Boy (Scribner 2018), which was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize. Rachel’s shorter work has recently appeared or is forthcoming in One Story, Longreads, Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading,and other publications. A cofounder of the reading series Ditmas Lit, she has taught for Catapult, Sackett Street Writers Workshop, Slice Literary, the Martha’s Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing, and elsewhere. JOANNE RAMOS (’95) was born in the Philippines and moved to Wisconsin when she was six. She graduated with a B.A. from Princeton University. After working in investment banking and private-equity investing for several years, she became a staff writer at The Economist. She currently serves on the board of The Moth. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
